West Bengal Sub Inspector Selection Process Details |
Selection Procedure : Selection Process will consists of following stages.
1)Preliminary Examination,
2)Final Examination,
3)Personality Test.
Preliminary Examination :
Preliminary Examination will be held on n General Studies and Arithmetic (Multiple choice objective type questions) with full marks of 200 (150 marks in General Studies having 75 questions & 50 marks in Arithmetic having 25 questions), the duration of examination being 1½ hours. The Preliminary Examination will be a screening test for selection of candidates for the Final Examination.
Final Examination :
Those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will be called for Final Examination. The Final Examination will consist of three papers of conventional type questions, namely Paper-I on General Studies and Arithmetic of 100 marks, Paper-II on English of 50 marks and Paper III on – Bengali/ Hindi / Urdu/ Nepali of 50 marks of one hour duration.
Personality Test :
A limited number of candidates selected merit wise on the results of Final Examination will be called for the Personality Test. Personality test will be conducted for 30 Marks. The Physical Measurement relating to Height, Weight and Chest of the candidates called for Personality Test shall be taken, at the time of the Personality Test with the help of Electronic Devices.
The candidates who have taken Hindi /Urdu/ Nepali as a subject in Paper-III and selected for the post, shall be required to pass a departmental examination in Bengali as specified in the Services (Training and Examination) Rules, West Bengal during the period of probation for confirmation in the post.
IMPORTANT NOTE :
1. The marks obtained by the candidates in the Preliminary Examination will not be counted for the purpose of determining the Final Merit List.
2. The Final Merit List will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in the Final Examination and Personality Test.
3. The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board shall have the discretion to fix qualifying marks in Preliminary Examination, each of the three papers of Final Examination, aggregate of three papers of the Final Examination and also for the Personality Test.
