Goa Police Constable Selection Process Details :

Selection Procedure :
Goa Police Constable exam selection process will consists of physical measurement test, physical efficiency test, written test and interview.

Physical Measurement :
Candidates should possess the physical measurements as given in notification. The candidates who are not satisfied with the decision of the Physical Measurement Boards regarding their height, weight and chest measurements, they can appeal immediately before the Appeal Board in prescribed Appeal Form available with the Appeal Board.

Physical Efficiency Test :
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is a qualifying test. A candidate must qualify in all the events of Physical Efficiency Test like Running, Long Jump, Shot Put and High Jump. The candidate who fails in any event will be rejected at that stage only and will not be allowed to appear in the remaining events. There shall be no Appeals against disqualification in Runs, Jumps and Throws.

Written Examination :
The candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will be subjected to Written Examination of Secondary School Certificate Examination level. The Written Examination shall be of 85 marks. The distribution of these 85 marks shall be (i) General Knowledge – 25 marks (ii) General English – 25 marks (iii) Maths – 20 marks and (iv) Essay – 15 marks. Minimum passing marks in the Written Examination shall be 35%.

Oral Interview :
The candidates who pass in Written Examination will be called for Oral Interview which shall be of 15 marks.

IMPORTANT NOTE : The decision of the Police Department with regard to the matters connected with the recruitment will be final in all respects and the Police Department has full right to make changes or to cancel the recruitment process without assigning any reasons.
